A Drop In The Ocean - Ron Pope
My thoughts?:
- It’s sweet
- The lyrics are well written
- Piano is the perfect instrument for this song
- The chorus gets in your head
BUT
I always take it as being lazy when the third verse is just singing notes rather then words. Unless, it’s a sick guitar/other instrument solo, then I accept it. The piano part is easy to learn, but sometimes being simple is better then being complicated. The thing with love songs, though, is that if you really like the song and sing it or such, everyone that hears you assumes you like someone or it’s about the person you like. Ha. Well, that’s me being insecure.
